Gray Wielebinski

Wielebinski’s work explores identity, history, and space through multimedia installations and sculpture. His black patina bronze wreath, blending security spikes with Victorian gothic aesthetics, references “deviant studies” and Lord Humphries’ research on clandestine gay encounters. Inspired by mourning a demolished cruising site, it reflects on space, loss, and queer identity. Engaging with Cold War paranoia, Americana, and pop culture, his immersive installations examine violence, desire, masculinity, and cultural mythmaking through abstraction and gaming.
