Daisy Collingridge’s Burt is a bronze sculpture derived from a 3D scan of her wearable fabric works. Originally crafted from hand-dyed jersey mimicking flesh and muscle, Burttransforms soft, organic forms into solid metal, creating a tension between comfort and rigidity. The rich patina enhances its marbled, visceral quality, evoking themes of transformation, identity, and the uncanny. Both familiar and alien, Burt embodies Collingridge’s fascination with the human body’s structure and metamorphosis.
